There are some games with less cards, including Spit-in-the-Ocean and Three-Card Monte. However, the most effective bluff in these games requires more than just knowing your cards.

This is where the kitty comes in. The kitty is a special fund established by players to buy new decks of cards. Players who are still in the game divide the kitty among themselves.

It’s also a good idea to play with a small number of people. Typically, the ideal poker number is six to eight players.
