The player to the left of the dealer starts each betting interval by placing one or more of his or her chips into the pot. The other players must call this bet, raise it or drop (fold). Players who say “call” must put in at least as many chips as the previous player; those who say “raise” must raise by the established minimum; and those who say “drop” must remove all of their chips from the pot.
